League Partners with new Bailey HUNDO

The Colorado League is excited to be a partner in a fantastic new event, the Bailey HUNDO: The Senators’ Underground Invitational, a 100-Mile race through the Pike National Forest east of Bailey, Colorado, June 19th.  The Bailey HUNDO is sponsored by four Colorado State Senators—Senator Chris Romer (District 32), Senator Mike Kopp (District 22), Senator Mark Scheffel (District 4), and Senator Greg Brophy (District 1).

Invitations will be available by lottery, and applications will be available, as of April 26th and will be accepted until May 19th, at which time invitations will be sent out.  Two entries will be available at the Cyclefest Dinner Silent Auction. For 2010, The Bailey HUNDO will be a suggested-donation and pledge-based event, and is run entirely by volunteers.  All proceeds go to sponsoring getting at-risk kids on bikes through Trips for Kids and the Colorado High School Cycling league and enhancing recreation opportunities in Bailey. For more info call (303) 877-8314.

The race courses in September are bound to be colorful with new team jersey designs.  Contact Primal for ordering jerseys design templates and product descriptions may be found at www.primalcustom.com and direct all inquiries to custom.sales@primalwear.com.

Team and Coach Registration
Team and coach registration for the 2010 Colorado High School Mountain Biking Season has been launched.  The Coaches Licensing Program, devised by NICA, was established in 2008 in an effort to ensure that Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Ride Leaders are trained in the best practices of youth mountain bike coaching. Obtaining your license also provides the League's comprehensive liability insurance and ensures that basic youth worker precautions are being made.

Register yourself as a coach here.

We open the registration process early so clubs/teams can obtain liability insurance to protect them during their club rides and activities. Please keep in mind that coverage only covers official team/club rides partaking in cross-country mountain biking activities. All riders, must be on the team/club roster and submit waivers to the club/team head coach.

Register your team here.
