Dear Colorado High School Cycling League Supporters:

We are churning out lots of information regarding the Colorado League: Cyclefest Weekend May 1-2, coach and team registration, Leaders’ summit June 5-6, race venue selection, and new Colorado sponsors. Thanks to all who have held meetings to develop teams. Many of you jumped on board to promote Cyclefest which will insure an excellent inauguration to the 2010 season.

Spring is right around the corner! The days are longer, birds are singing, legs are pumped to pedal, and lungs yearn to burn with fresh air.

Keep spinning and grinning!

We are thrilled to announce two new sponsors: Wheat Ridge Cyclery and Yeti. Both of these Colorado enterprises reflect the deep seated history of cycling in the state. Gil McCormick, Wheat Ridge Cyclery, was diligent in creating a partnership with the Colorado League. Wheat Ridge Cyclery’s 35 year history of stellar customer service, community support, and contemporary, exceptional expertise brings great value to the Colorado League. Please thank them when you see Wheat Ridge Cyclery staff at the neutral SRAM tech support during the 2010 race season.
Chris Conroy of Yeti believes in supporting racing at all levels from the first 1990 World Championships in Durango to junior races at the Mountain States Cup. Yeti Cycles is where precision meets passion for playing on two wheels.

Team and Coach Registration

Team and coach registration for the 2010 Colorado High School Mountain Biking Season has been launched.

The Coaches Licensing Program, devised by NICA, was established in 2008 in an effort to ensure that Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Ride Leaders are trained in the best practices of youth mountain bike coaching. Obtaining your license also provides the League's comprehensive liability insurance and ensures that basic youth worker precautions are being made.
Register yourself as a coach here!

We open the registration process early so clubs/teams can obtain liability insurance to protect them during their club rides and activities. Please keep in mind that coverage only covers official team/club rides partaking in cross-country mountain biking activities. All riders, must be on the team/club roster and submit waivers to the club/team head coach.
Register your team here!

Race Venues

Please let us know your ideas for race course locations! We are looking for public or private venues for conducting high school mountain bike races. Please send your ideas to the chair of our venue committee, none other than Dave Wiens, daveonpine@yahoo.com. Thanks!
